Emaar Hospitality Group appoints Philippe Georges Zuber as General Manager of The Address Downtown Dubai

Emaar Hospitality Group, the hospitality and leisure business subsidiary of Emaar Properties PJSC, has appointed Philippe Georges Zuber as General Manager of The Address Downtown Dubai, a flagship property of The Address Hotels + Resorts, owned and managed by the Group. 

Mr Zuber will be mandated with the day-to-day management of the property located in Downtown Dubai, the 500-acre mega development by Emaar, described as ‘The Centre of Now.’ In addition to identifying strategic opportunities to strengthen the hotel’s business, footfall and market outreach, he is also entrusted with driving the different teams and integrating various functions to maximize productivity. 

Mr Jurgen Baumhoff, Chief Operating Officer, Emaar Hospitality Group, said: “The Address Downtown Dubai is one of the award-winning properties in our Address portfolio, defined by its unique location and service standards. Philippe Georges Zuber brings international expertise in hotel management, which will enable us to further underline the property’s appeal globally.” 

Mr Zuber said: “The Address Downtown Dubai has set a distinct niche both in the business and leisure hospitality segments. We will work towards further strengthening the hotel as a first-choice for visitors to Dubai, across all our existing feeder markets, as well as explore new markets. We will also look at strengthening the lifestyle choices offered for our guests, adding to the hotel’s existing portfolio of world-class restaurants and lounges.”

Mr Zuber had earlier worked on key positions with international hotel chains in various global cities including Seoul, Paris, Berlin, Casablanca, Hong Kong and Los-Angeles, among others. He holds a Masters Degree in Finance & Management in Hotel Industry from The Strasbourg Graduate School of Management, and has a degree from the Hotel Management School, Strasbourg.

The Address Downtown Dubai, one of the city’s premium hotels, sets new trends in luxury hospitality. The 63-storey hotel offers 196 spacious and contemporary rooms, including 25 suites and 626 serviced residences with spectacular views of Burj Khalifa and The Old Town.
