Kaspersky Internet Security named product of the Year by AV-Comparatives

The annual report from AV-Comparatives highlights the high scoring products of the previous year’s anti-virus tests, culminating in an overall winner based on the total score achieved. A number of additional awards also recognize the best results in each test. Having taken part in and achieved the highest rank of Advanced+ in all eight main tests, Kaspersky Internet Security was named Product of the Year, with the report commending its well-designed and user-friendly interface, and the extensive and excellent documentation and help facilities provided.

In addition to Product of the Year, Kaspersky Internet Security also scooped the Gold Award in both the Real-World Protection and Malware Removal tests, and a joint Gold Award in the File Detection test. The product also achieved a Silver Award in the Proactive Protection test and joint Bronze in Performance. 

21 security products designed for the Windows platform took part in the AV-Comparatives’ test series for 2015, undergoing independent product evaluation and effectiveness tests. Programs were tested for their ability to protect against real-world Internet threats, identify thousands of malicious programs, and provide protection without impacting PC performance. Additional tests checked how well the products could remove malware from an infected PC and block new and unknown threats.
