LG announces "Cook it to Win it" winners

LG Electronics, the global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics, mobile communications and home appliances, has announced the winner’s name of the “Cook it to Win it with LG Lightwave” competition last Friday, October 7^th, at the new extension of Mecca Mall.  

The famous chef, Ghada Al-Talli, supervised the competition and announced the winners, Firas Naffa’ and Wisam Dababneh, who won an LG electric oven featuring the ‘Lightwave’ technology and a trip to Turkey on October 25^th, where they will be participate in LG’s regional cooking competition. In that round, the Jordanian team will be competing against others from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, North Africa, Turkey, Egypt, Nigeria, and Morocco.

Participants competed dynamically by cooking the most appetizing, delicious recipes including Arabic, western, and international dishes. Ultimately, the winning team excelled in cooking the “Steak with Vegetables” dish and the popular “Kunafa” dessert, using methods which impressed Chef Al-Talli in terms of exquisite taste, plus modern, speedy, and healthy cooking techniques due to LG’s new electric ovens, starring the ‘Lightwave’ technology.

The huge event was covered by Mazaj FM, where the presenter Rose Al Souqi added an exciting flavor to the festive atmosphere which attracted hundreds of attendees. The audience included families, relatives, and friends, who flocked to encourage the competitors in bringing out their best cooking talents.

LG’s Planning Manager, Mr. Young Taik, and LG’s Home Appliances Marketing Manager, Lara Zureik, honored all twelve participants by awarding them LG microwaves, so they may enjoy a firsthand experience of their technology and features which guarantee delicious, nutritious, and fun cooking at once.

It is worth noting that if the Jordanian team wins at the competition round in Turkey, they will further proceed to go on a fully-covered trip to Korea to see the county’s biggest attractions, in addition to winning various LG home appliances. Simultaneously, the trip to Korea will include winning teams from France, Brazil, Chili, Canada, and India.

LG’s electric oven ‘Lightwave’ combines traditional oven technologies with electric oven features, and includes a grill, even temperature distribution, and halogen lighting cooking technique for browned, dry food, while retaining the dish’s juices. The appliance achieves all of that in a spacious, dome-like cavity, suitable for larger-sized foods.
