Qatar Foundation welcomes former US president Jimmy Carter
Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) hosted former US President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn Carter earlier today, as part of an official visit to the region.
The former President and his delegation were welcomed by Engineer Saad Al Muhannadi, President of Qatar Foundation. During the visit, the dignitaries listened to a comprehensive presentation outlining the vision and mission of QF, detailing the different academic initiatives, community development plans and scientific research programmes currently available.
Following the presentation, the visitors were then shown an impressive 3D scale model of the current site. The master plan also included future construction developments at Qatar Foundation.
Qatar Foundation is hoping that the visit will lead to closer collaboration with The Carter Center, which focusses on global peace and health programmes.
