Samsung revolutionizes the photo imaging industry with the latest in 2 view technology

Samsung Electronics, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, announces the launch of three new 2 View compact cameras, reinforcing the company’s leading position in the market. Taking dual screen technology to the next level the new ST700, PL170 and PL120 cameras will offer a unique combination of high image quality, fun and engaging special features, all brought together with Samsung’s innovative dual screen technology creating a premium compact camera package for easy to capture self portraits.

First brought to the market in 2009, 2 View technology offers the ultimate dual screen camera experience, creating even greater opportunities for shooting self-portrait images. With 2 View Camera specifically designed for self-portrait photography, the new Samsung range ensures that you capture picture perfect moments with every shot. All three models feature a 26mm lenses for a wider and deeper perspective that is ideal for portraits, whilst the 2 View technology creates a fun photographic experience, putting artistic, professional pictures within reach of even novice users. With each of the 3 cameras equipped with an HD movie recording feature users can create great videos alongside their great pictures. The new camera range also feature Samsung’s staple smart technology, offering Smart 2.0 filters which create entertaining and professional finishes to photo shots through a range of options, from ‘soft focus’ and ‘half-tone dot’, to ‘fish-eye’, ‘miniature’ and sketch.

The ST700 represents the ultimate in dual screen innovation from Samsung and boasts a 1.8” front LCD screen, the largest ever incorporated into this style of camera. Including a Children mode which allows you to create animations, as well as the new Magic Frame feature, which allows you to instantly create formatted postcards and posters, the camera offers something for everyone. Featuring 16.1MP sensors and a 26mm 5x optical zoom lens, the ST700 ensures you capture the sharpest images available. Designed specifically, for the ST700, Samsung has used their in-depth knowledge of the Smartphone market to create the create the ultimate smart touch user interface, enabling users to drag, click and control ‘app-style’ icons, easily flip through photos and control a range of the camera’s features.

Offering variety to the new camera range, the PL170 and PL120 will bring the added value of dual screen technology to all camera users, letting every photographer get out from behind the lens and start self-shooting in style. In addition to the bright 1.5” front screens that allow you to perfectly frame your portrait, these two models also incorporate the Easy Self Shot feature from the ST700, which allows you to turn on only the front screen to give yourself added privacy.
