Samsung unveils new additions to printer range for small and medium size businesses

Samsung Electronics, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, today announcedtwo powerful additions to its mono-laser printer rangegeared towards small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) in the region.

As SMBs continue to seek solutions that increase productivity and drive down operating costs, products such as the SCX-4729FD multi-functional mono laser printer and the ML-2955ND mono laser printer offer a number of impressive technology innovations that deliver improved efficiency, reduced costs and printing versatility to end users. In addition, features such as increased printing speed, faster CPUs and higher memory from both the SCX-4729FD and the ML-2955ND, allows users to achieve greater results. Samsung’s SyncThru Admin solution for the multi-functional SCX-4729FD also facilitates easier integration of the printer to multiple-device networks where scanning, printing, faxing and copying can all be managed in unison.

In order to further reduce costs for the end-user, built-in duplex capabilities on both the SCX-4729FD and ML-2955ND are complimented by a Samsung Eco Button and Eco Driver option that allow for last minute adjustments to be made to reduce toner consumption and paper wastage. Additionally, businesses can leverage the Eco Simulator to see how much toner, paper, energy and costs can be saved for each printing job—encouraging employees to be more eco-friendly in their daily routines.

Delivering 4-in-1 versatility, the SCX-4729FD is the ideal multi-functional printer for the small office. Packed full of useful functions, themulti-functional printeroffers fast print and copy speeds of 28ppm (A4), as well asfaxing and scanning functions. The multi-functional printer’s copy features also includes: ID Copy, which allows copying of both sides of an ID card or other small documents onto a single sheet without alignment issues or having to feed the paper back into the printer; N-up copy, which prints multiple copied sheets per page; and Clone and Poster copy.

The useful scan features available on the SCX-4729FD include: Network Scan, where scanned files can be saved to the network, and Colour Scan.The printer also offers standard 33.6Kbps fax capabilities and PC Fax—an option that enables users to save time and paper by sending a fax directly from the PC while the Fax to PC support allows received fax data to be delivered straight to your PC via local connection or the office network.In addition, the SCX-472X series delivers the quietest printing levels in its class,omitting less than 50 decibels (dBA)while printing.

ML-2955ND

With the activation of the One touch Eco button, the printer can deliver double sided printing and multiple pages like 2-up onto a single sheet while also skipping blank pages, to reduce paper wastage.  In addition, the ML-2955ND is Samsung’s first printer to offer an Easy Eco Driver. This allows users to “Print Preview” the document to make adjustments such as removing an image or changing the text font prior to printing without actually changing the original document. This can help to reduce toner consumption and reduce paper wastage.

With lower power consumption levels whilst printing– on average 330w/h(watts per hour) –the ML-2955ND can also save on energy costs too. Compared to conventional models in its class which consume on average 495w/h, this means that the ML-2955ND offers up to 33% improvement in terms of power consumption.
