Sharjah Media City Runs Health and Wellbeing Workshop for Employees
Sharjah Media City (Shams) recently organized a workshop on the basics of health and wellbeing, with the aim of focusing on the health and safety of its employees and raising their level of awareness and education. The workshop was attended by H.E. Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Media City (Shams), and H.E. Shihab Al Hammadi, Director of Sharjah Media City (Shams), as well as directors and heads of departments, and employees of Shams.
The workshop was in line with national efforts to promote and maintain public health during the current period. Shams has been keen to promote the importance of maintaining good health to its employees and has run a number of initiatives to do so.
The workshop consisted of several activities and programs, including a set of educational sessions covering: advice on maintaining health during working hours, how to take care of the spine and avoid back problems through correct seating and posture positions, and the important role that a healthy diet plays in strengthening the immune system. Employees were also educated on the importance of vitamins and their benefits, and where given an intravenous solution that contains beneficial vitamins to help strengthen their health and immunity. During the session employees were also strongly encouraged to exercise and make a healthy lifestyle a top priority.
