SODIC Brings Eternal Light to Westown Hub in Egypt

Sixth of October Development & Investment Company “SODIC”, hosted an opening reception to celebrate the launch of the Eternal Light: Something Old, Something New Exhibition by Nadine Abdel Ghaffar. The exhibition will be on view at Westown Hub for nearly two months.

The art exhibition is organized by Art D’Égypte, featuring a selection of works by renowned Egyptian artists and in collaboration with Cheim and Read, Gypsum Gallery, Karim Francis Gallery, Mashrabia Gallery and The Third Line. Curated by Nadine Abdel Ghaffar, founder of Art D’Egypte, Eternal Light: Something Old, Something New is the first in a series of pop-up shows to be held at various heritage sites across Egypt. It was inaugurated with A Night of Art at the Egyptian Museum where 16 artworks by Egypt’s foremost contemporary artists were displayed against the timeless backdrop of pharaonic artifacts at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

SODIC has been a proud patron of the arts since 2009, supporting numerous endeavors including symposiums, exhibitions, and workshops, most notably through its annual sponsorship of CARAVAN, a traveling exhibition of visual art.
