According to Al-Sharq newspaper (June 27, 2005), the Qatari Company for Real Estate Investments (Al-Aqariya) signed contracts for building the fourth and fifth phases of the Dukhan housing project, which belongs to the Qatar Petroleum (QP) by QR 310 million. The building contracts consist of 126 buildings for the employees including 920 residential units. The QP Dukhan Operations which is undertaking the infrastructure development of the QP Concession Area in Dukhan as well as the nearby Dukhan rural community has developed a 20-year plan covering 193 projects until 2022 in four phases to provide adequate services and social, recreational and business facilities.
