The Qatari Minister of Economy and Commerce, Sheikh Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Thani on Tuesday said the inflation in the country is mainly due to high rents and rising costs of building materials. Studies indicate that increasing rents and prices of building materials were 78 per cent responsible for the higher inflation.
