SABIC basic industries has selected SNAS/DHL to be its global lead logistics provider (LLP) for all outgoing mail and service logistics, the Kingdom’s leading express logistics company has announced.

The contract, with a term of up to three years, consolidates SABIC’s logistics service operations from more than 25 service providers to a single logistics solution through SNAS/DHL.

The agreement combines SNAS/DHL's global logistics and distribution network capabilities. SNAS/DHL said it would streamline SABIC’s logistics processes by managing the distribution of all outgoing mail. SNAS/DHL's transportation services for SABIC will include SNAS/DHL's same day, express, ground and freight services.

"Our agreement demonstrates a growing trend among Saudi companies to outsource global logistics to a lead provider," said Paul Chader, SNAS/DHL's Sales and Marketing Manager KSA. "This relationship demonstrates how SNAS/DHL leverages its global footprint and transportation network to serve one of the world's largest petrochemical operations to support their global reach with customized supply chain solutions designed with their needs in mind."

"With thousands of requests per day from around the world, it was imperative for us at SABIC to streamline our service logistics process through a reliable provider with a strong global network," said a SABIC spokesperson. The contract demonstrates that as the only truly global partner with a presence in over 220 countries, DHL has the expertise to provide consistent, reliable service to connect businesses to home markets and the rest of the world.

"This agreement builds on a relationship with SNAS/DHL that has successfully supported our business model and growth over several years, and we look forward to extending the exemplary customer service and the flexibility and scalability of these services to a wider, global corporate base," explained the SABIC spokesperson.
