A recently published report titled Syrian Women in Modern Development revealed that Syrian women constitute no more than 19.8 percent of the country’s labor force, reported Al-Watan. The report also noted that 52.5 percent of the country’s service sector’s employees are women. The ratio of employed women in agriculture stands at approximately 80 percent, while only 40 percent of workers in the industrial sector are female, reported Al-Watan. — (menareport.com)
