The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co, has announced the recall of Toyota Prius models of 2016-2018 over a potential defect in the wire harness, which is connected to the hybrid vehicle power control unit.

The MEC said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that automobile dealers follow up on vehicles’ defects and repair them.

The MEC said that it will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.

Mercedes-Benz model recalled

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, has announced the recall of Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class model of 2018 because the threaded connections of the strut rods on the rear axle carrier do not correspond with the manufacturer’s specifications.

The MEC said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that automobile dealers follow up on vehicles’ defects and repair them.

The MEC said that it will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
