Tunisia is expected to have five million subscribers to the GSM networks by 2005, according to the Tunisian daily "Réalités." The newspaper conducted a review of the two GSM operators in Tunisia, Tunisie Télécom and the rival, which is a private concern, Tunisiana.
The main challenge of the companies is to improve and expand their network coverage which at the moment is an impediment to building up a more profitable and successful telecoms industry in the country which has a growing market.
