ALBAWABA - Isak Andic, the Spanish businessman who co-founded the famous clothing retailer brand Mango with his brother in 1984, passed away yesterday in a mountain accident, according to a statement from his company.

Spanish clothing company Mango announced the tragic death of its co-founder Isak Andic yesterday. Andic passed away in a mountain accident at the age of 71, according to the company’s statement. News sources stated that Andic died after falling while on a mountain hiking trip with some of his family members near Barcelona.
Toni Ruiz, Mango CEO, said: “His departure leaves a huge void but all of us are, in some way, his legacy and the testimony of his achievements. It is up to us, and this is the best tribute we can make to Isak and which we will fulfil, to ensure that Mango continues to be the project that Isak aspired to and of which he would feel proud.”
Isak Andic’s Legacy
Andic was one of Spain’s richest men, with a net worth of $4.5 billion, according to Forbes. He was born in 1953 in Istanbul and moved with his family to Barcelona at the age of 14. He opened his first store on Paseo de Gracia, Barcelona's most famous shopping street, in 1984 with his brother.
