Xiaomi always ends up hitting the jackpot when it announces a new smartphone, and the story is not any different when the company’s Mi Note 2 is the primary subject. The phablet, armed with the powerful Snapdragon 821, according to sources close to the matter sold out in a matter of 50 seconds. However, the version that was sold out in less than a minute featured 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. There’s currently no word on when the 6GB + 128GB storage will start to sell.

The next batch of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will include the global version, and will be compatible with global LTE bands, preventing you from running into network compatibility issues irrespective of which country you live in. This means that the company is intending this phone to be popular globally, but the country has yet to establish a significant amount of presence in other countries. Because of this setback, many of the company’s smartphones that are intended to be affordable, retail for a much higher price tag due to the duty and additional charges incurred on it.

As for the specifications, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 might not feature a dual-camera but what it does have is a beautiful OLED panel with a 1440p running on the 5.7-inch panel. Just like the Galaxy Note 7, Mi Note 2 features a dual curved screen as well as an ultrasonic fingerprint reader. Thanks to the size of the phablet, it sports a large 4,070mAh battery and a USB-C port as well. The smartphone is running Android Marshmallow 6.0 but as soon it receives the Nougat 7.0 update, the phone will be compatible with the Daydream platform.
