A 22-year-old worker is under trial in the Dubai Criminal Court for killing his manager who had allegedly forced him into having sexual relations with him for over a year.

The accused admitted to his crime during an investigation by the public prosecutor.

The worker said that the manager had developed sexual relations with him when he came to the country more than a year back. He added that he even threatened to dismiss him if he told the police about it.

He told the investigator that on the day of the incident, the employer had called him to ask for sexual favors again. The victim wanted the worker to meet him at a parking lot near Al Khail gate in Al Quoz area. When the accused refused, the manager threatened him.

The worker told the investigator that seething with anger, he went into a supermarket and bought a knife. When they met at the parking lot, the victim slapped him. In a fit of rage, the worker stabbed the manager many times in his stomach. The worker broke down and started crying over the body.

Passers-by gathered at the crime scene and called the police.

A witness said that the accused tried to flee when he saw the police but they were eventually able to catch him.

The victim died before reaching the hospital.
