Born April 18th 1986, Sara Melki’s artistic inclinations started early as she grew up in an aesthetic surrounding of a family business specialized in home furniture and decoration.

In 2004, she joined the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) to improve her creative skills. In 2008, she moved to Paris for four years to attend the prestigious Studio Berçot, a fashion design school that has trained many gifted designers such as Isabel Marant or Martine Sitbon.

To complete her academic learning, Sara Melki further developed her knowledge through various internships in major fashion houses. One of which in Malhia Kent’s workshops, Chanel’s exclusive weavers. There, she mastered the discipline and know-how of French weaving. But it is in New York, at the famous Proenza Schouler, that she was able to sharpen her urban spirit style and her smart use of ‘mix and match’.

In April 2012, she returned to Beirut, launched her first collection and opened her showroom in ‘Espace M’, a concept store, located in Horch Tabet, just a few minutes away from the heart of the capital.
