Arab and European countries have condemned Israeli violence against Palestinian protesters.

Many Arab and international artists and celebrities have expressed solidarity and support for Palestinian families in East Jerusalem's Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood amid assaults by Israeli occupation forces and threats of eviction.

Dozens more Palestinians were injured Saturday as Israeli police fired water cannon and rubber bullets to disperse Palestinian protesters in annexed east Jerusalem, a day after fierce clashes at the city's Al-Aqsa mosque

Arab and European countries have condemned Israeli violence against Palestinian protesters.

"Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Palestine," Egyptian actor Ahmed Mekky wrote under English hash-tag #freepalestine, praying to God to save the Palestinians from "brutal Zionist terrorism."

British pop star singer Dua Lipa joined the trending #SaveSheikhJarrah hash-tag on Saturday with a photo on her Instagram.

Meanwhile, Egyptian comedian Mohamed Henedy wrote on Facebook: "While the world is silent, we’ll send your voice to the world," captioning two photos of two smiling Palestinian detainees.

In a video posted Friday, the legendary rock star Roger Waters of Pink Floyd described Israel as "an apartheid state," slamming the silence of US President Joe Biden over the "genocidal removal".

Other posts supportive of the Palestinians came from Lebanese pop singer Elissa and many others.
