Guess what? Rumor has it that the next season of Arab Idol was going to be filmed in Amman, Jordan, according to one of the show's current celebrity judges, Emirati singer Ahlam.
However, Ahlam says that a decision has been made to move the filming location to Dubai due to "technical issues."
According to Al Kawn News, Ahlam tweeted saying that Jordan has refused to issue Visas for the Iranian hairdressers hired by Arab Idol, which led to cancelling plans to host it there.
"I apologise to all Jordanians for this news, but they just had to know," Ahlam tweeted.
Meanwhile, rumors circulating the replacement of Ahlam with a new judge, specifically Moroccan singer Samira Said, have been debunked by Mazen Hayek, the official spokesman for MBC Group - the channel that airs the singing competition.
Hayek said in an interview that "nothing has changed and all four judges, Ahlam, Nancy Ajram, Hassan el Shafei and Wael Kfoury, will be returning to season 4."
Mazen spoke highly of the controversial Emirati diva, saying that "Ahlam is part of the success of the show and we are still committed to having her with us, as long as she wants to, of course."
Looks like the four familiar faces will be returning to our TV screens, peeps!
