After a four-year halt, Ahmed Mekky is bringing his popular comedy series ‘El Kabeer Awy’ out for a glorious sixth season comeback in Ramadan 2022.
Filming of the new season has already begun, with a handful of the show’s most beloved characters and cast members - including Bayoumi Fouad, Hisham Ismail and Mohamed Salam - joining Mekky in the fictional village of Al-Mazarita.
The sitcom that started in 2010 tells the story of the mayor of a village in Upper Egypt who learns that he has a sibling living in America. He encounters various comical situations when his American sibling decides to become a mayor.
