New pictures of Egyptian actress Mona Zaki have failed to impress her fans. The photos were taken by photographer Khaled Mansour, and were widely circulated on social networking sites, including FB.
Mona's loyal fans were upset by the fact that she appeared “too different” in her appearance, and by the amount of heavy makeup she wore in the pix. Others weren't impressed by the background where the photoshoot took place.
A little variation never hurt anyone!
Criticism didn't negatively affect Mona though. According to Laha Magazine, the experimental-actress said that change is good, and necessary, every once in a while. She added that she never expected her new look to gain everyone's approval, because people have different tastes and she respects them all.
Mona, who hasn't worked on any new projects in a while, said: “My photos aren't part of an interview with the press or for a new role. Up until now, there's no need for any interviews because there's nothing new to update them with. The only time I'll hold an interview is if I were to begin working on a new project.”
The secret behind Mona's 'new look' is that she simply wanted to do something completely unlike anything she's done in the past. A number of newspapers and magazines requested to have the pictures published on their official website, to which Mona happily approved.
The starlet is currently happy leaving all the work for her hubby, AGT judge Ahmed Helmy, while she spends her time observing the political events taking place in Egypt and the Arab world.
