The patriot inside each singer is coming out, as it has become quite a trend to sing for Egypt after the downfall of Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi.
But who could blame them? Music runs in their blood, much like their country is in their hearts. So put the two together and you get a national song to die for.
We're also seeing a trend of singers expressing their political opinions. Egyptian singer Khaled Salim is one of them.
His song “Tistahli Anzil” (You're Worth Me Protesting For You) was dedicated to the young men of he revolution. This was Khaled's first time announcing his public stance.
Music can do good in so many ways.
The national song is already being played on multiple TV channels, as well as on Khaled's YouTube channel.
The song was written by poet Ahmad Al Jundi, composed by Madian and distributed by Ahmad Abdel Salam.
Another patriotic singer getting in on the fun is Sherine Abdel Wahab. The star is currently recording a national song for Egypt, written by Tamer Hussein and composed by Amro Mustafa.
Will we be seeing a video? Sherine has not yet decided. Either way, we know it's bound to be a moving song.
What's your favorite national song out there?
