Lebanese singer Sally Najib recently appeared in a new video clip for her song “Bala Ahbab” (Without Loved Ones).
The erotic clip was directed by Bashir Asmar, son of famous Lebanese director Simon Asmar. Critics charged that Sally was using her body to sell her song, although it is difficult to pinpoint what actually draws an audience.
According to the London daily Elaph, Sally is a new talent, unlike any other.
Simon Asmar said, “Sally has the characteristics of a star.”
Time will tell if Sally will be renowned as an erotic singer or as a talented musical artist. It is too early to judge.
Sally will release a new album soon in the Lebanese and Egyptian dialects, which will allow audiences to better judge Sally’s talent.
