INJAZ launches 2010-2011 company program

INJAZ Egypt is pleased to announce the launch of the 2010 - 2011 Junior Achievement Worldwide Company Program. The CP will culminate in our world famous Young Entrepreneurs Competition in May 2011. 

The Company Program experience enhances students’ classroom curriculum and provides young people the opportunity to establish their own companies while still pursuing their studies. Students are encouraged to use innovative thinking to learn business skills that support positive attitudes as they explore and enhance their career aspirations in a real life environment. We link business professionals to serve as role models and mentors to students at universities and schools where they transfer their real life experience of the working world to students in classrooms across the country through the Company Program.

In May, the teams will compete in our “Young Entrepreneurs Competition," where student representatives of each company: 

Set up a booth to present their company and products in a trade fair

Give a business presentation be interviewed by a panel of judges from the top business people in Egypt

Receive an assessment of the management report made by each company

Receive awards based on their business plan and manner in which operations were conducted

The competition will culminate in a Gala Awards Ceremony, and the top teams from each of the competition events will be nominated to represent Egypt at the INJAZ al-Arab Regional Competition.

The INJAZ Company Program has two overarching aims. Firstly, to foster an understanding of the world of work and a spirit of entrepreneurship through the principle of ‘Learning by Doing’, and secondly, to encourage young people to think globally about their enterprising potential and activities. In joining the INJAZ Company Program, students become part of a growing and thriving community of ambitious, creative, resourceful and hard-working young men and women who are keen on shaping and transforming opportunities across the Middle East and North Africa region. Through INJAZ Company Program, high school and university students get to learn how to start up their entrepreneurial companies.
