ZUMA Dubai today announces the appointment of Justin Bishop as its new General Manager. Bishop will join the team at a senior operational level, taking responsibility for the floor staff and day to day running of the multi-award winning bar and restaurant, located in the prestigious DIFC.

Bishop brings many years of experience to the table, both in London, the home of the ZUMA flagship, and in the Middle East.  Previous roles include Operations Manager for the internationally renowned Conran Group in London, launching and managing some of the cities largest and most iconic restaurants including Mezzo Restaurant, La Casa Del Habano and the uber hip Floridita London.

Bishop has over five years of experience in the Middle East, having worked as Head of Operations for the Emirates Group (ELR), one of the Middle East’s largest and most prominent international companies. Roles within the firm included the creation of the successful Left Bank and Apres Bar and Restaurant concepts. The high profile concept roll out not only included many outlets in Dubai, but also addressed expansion into Abu Dhabi, Oman and Melbourne Australia.

Bishop’s drive and considerable talent caught the attention of Director of Operations, Ajaz Sheikh. Of his new recruit Ajaz comments, “I am excited to have Justin join us and begin work within the ZUMA family. His career reflects our international outlook, and matches our close relationship with London. I have no doubt that he will bring the highest levels of excellence with him and help drive the team forward at an exciting time of expansion within the Gulf region.”
