Comedy circuit favourite Pierre Hollins leads the bill for this month’s Laughter Factory tour.
The four-date Dubai trip, starting this Thursday at the Movenpick JBR, will be Ian Moore and Paul Thorne.
Prior to his comedy career, Pierre washed dishes in the Houses of Parliament, as well as performing as a comedy acrobat and unicyclist (presumably not in the Houses of Parliament).
His first guitar was a one-string electric squash racquet, which he still uses at festival gigs, and Shanghai City Weekend magazine once declared he should be “made the mayor of a small village”.
A former warm-up act for the BBC’s Friday Night with Jonathon Ross talk show, Ian Moore has appeared at the Edinburgh Festival with Catherine Tate and Montreal’s Just for Laughs festival with Jimmy Carr.
The laconic funnyman is also a regular on BBC 5Live’s Fighting Talk and penned the book, A la Mod: My So-Called Tranquil Family Life in Rural France.
Paul Thorne has toured with the likes of Jack Dee and Rory Bremner, as well as touring internationally and performing weekly at London’s Comedy Store as part of The Cutting Edge topical troupe.
