The managing office of Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi denied recent allegations circulating over the internet that the singer held a private concert for homosexuals in Turkey. The office stated that the rumors being circulated refers to a performance the singer held in the past and the concert was not exclusively for homosexuals.
According to the internet website MBC.net, the office added that the matter was exaggerated and misinterpreted and the fact that homosexuals attended a concert she held in the past does not imply she sang for them exclusively.
A number of internet websites and newspapers published photos of Haifa and her husband surrounded by a group of drag queens and published articles stating that Haifa sings for homosexuals in Turkey accompanied by her husband, a matter that gave rise to negative criticism.
