Saloum Haddad to replace Khaled Taja

The makers of the drama “Al Umaimi” have decided to give the leading role in the drama to prominent Syrian actor Saloum Haddad instead of prominent Syrian actor Khaled Taja, who is known as Anthony Quinn of the Arab world. The change is due to the admittance of Khaled to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Al Shami Hospital in Damascus after his health condition deteriorated.

According to the internet website MBC.net, Saloum’s managing office said that Saloum will be replacing Khaled and play the role of ‘Murad Baik’ who is a powerful man during the Othman Empire occupation of Damascus.

The makers of the drama said that Saloum understood the circumstances the drama is going through with Khaled’s sudden admittance to hospital and that he, Saloum, needs to join the cast as soon as possible to be able to complete the drama.
