Egyptian singer Tamer Husni has announced his strong support to the revolution taking place in Libya to overthrow the government of Libyan President Muamar Ghaddafi. Tamer denied singing for Ghaddafi in the past and stressed that he had sung to the Libyan people.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Tamer said that he is with the Libyan people and his performance in Libya was for the people not the leader, stressing that it is unjust to be placed on the black list created of artists to be boycotted.
With regards to the photo of him with a picture of Ghaddafi in the background, Tamer said that the photo was taken last year when he held a performance in the Libyan city of Bin Ghazi.
