ALBAWABA - As an auspicious sign of Syria’s recovery, it is set to host its first Business Forum with the U.S. on Monday.

As decades of sanctions fall off Syria’s back, the country is beginning to feel its economy refresh and grow, hosting its first Business Forum meeting with United States investors and businessmen.

Organized by the Syrian-American Business Council and the Syrian and the Ministry of Economy and Industry, bringing government officials together with business leaders and investors, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

Those meetings will discuss economic rebuilding and reform, business opportunities, and investment plans, spending effort to expand private-sector cooperation in rebuilding Syria.

All this follows Trump signing an executive order last year lifting U.S. sanctions on Syria; issuing Syria General License 25 and granting exemptions to attract investments supporting Syria.
