US Vice President Joe Biden was confronted by a heckler Thursday at a Hillary Clinton rally. But it wasn’t a still bitter Bernie Sanders supporter or an angry Donald Trump fan. Apparently, Biden was interrupted by an American who served with the People’s Protection Units (YPG) in their fight against Daesh (ISIS). The man criticized Biden for forcing the YPG to withdraw from west of the Euphrates, shouting “my friends died.” Biden replied “so did my son.”

Biden lost his son Beau, an Iraq war veteran, to brain cancer in 2015.

The story was posted to pro-YPG social media sites, as well as mainstream news, but didn’t stop there. Biden offered the man to discuss the issue further after the event. Now, the disgruntled former YPG fighter is saying that meeting never happened.

The main who claims to be the heckler is @ISIS_Slayer on Twitter. He says the meeting with Biden never happened.

But who is @ISIS_Slayer? And why did Biden apparently never meet with him as promised? Unfortunately, @ISIS_Slayer did not respond to a request to comment for this article.

The YPG, which is the largest Kurdish armed group in Syria, is the major component of the US-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). One of Daesh’s fiercest opponents, they remain west of the Euphrates, per the US’s request.
