ALBAWABA- Twelve people were injured in a mass shooting at a bar near Scarborough Town Centre in Toronto on Friday night, according to police. The suspect remains at large, and authorities have not yet provided a description.

Toronto Police responded to reports of gunfire at a pub near Progress Avenue and Corporate Drive shortly around 11:00 p.m. The exact conditions of the victims have not been disclosed.

Just after midnight on Saturday, Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow addressed the incident on social media, expressing deep concern.

 "I am deeply troubled to hear reports of a shooting at a pub in Scarborough. I have spoken to Chief Demkiw, and he has assured me that all necessary resources have been deployed. This is an early and ongoing investigation—police will provide further details. My thoughts are with the victims and their families," she posted.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to locate the suspect and determine the circumstances of the attack.
