Now is the time again to invest in the Philippines

The 2nd Philippine Property Show in the Middle East will be held in Abu Dhabi on October 2 and 3, 2009 at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry conference hall.

According to the event’s project director, Mr. Jovy Tuano who is a prominent Philippine property consultant based in the capital city, now is the time again for buyers and investors to take a second look at the Philippines as a stable investment and tourism destination.

“The real estate market in the Philippines has experienced a nominal growth of 10% year-on-year for the past five years. Until today it has remained stable and competitive since most of the buyers are end-users and not speculators,” explained Tuano.

In the first edition held in Dubai in September 2008, the show attracted about 1,500 pre-qualified buyers consisting of Filipinos and other expatriates from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Kaimah. The show generated close to 500 million pesos (AED38 million) worth of investments in Philippine real estate projects built by top licensed developers namely, Megaworld, SM Development, AyalaLand,  AboitizLand, Canyon Woods, Camp John Hay of Fil-Estate, and Suntrust Properties.

Tuano added: “We decided to hold the event in Abu Dhabi because of the capital city’s strong economic fundamentals which is reflective of the residents’ high purchasing power. We are delighted and honored that the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry openly welcomed us.”

Exhibition timing will be from 10 am to 8 pm on both days, Friday and Saturday. Admission is free.  Register on-line at www.philippinepropertyshow.com
