Since 2003 and throughout the previous years “Ramadan Charity Tent – A Smile of a Child” which was initiated by Sheraton Cairo Hotel, and launched in collaboration with MobiNil, Mansour group hosting deprived children; Orphans & less advantaged, from 66 charity associations all over Cairo & Giza.
This year “Ramadan Charity Tent –Smile 2009” is taking place at Al Sawy Cultural Wheel in Zamalek hosting around 150 less advantaged/less privileged children on daily basis throughout the holy month of Ramadan, exposing them to a daily cultural and artistic program including art workshops for painting, jewelry, silk screen, pottery and carpets, followed by Iftar, and complimented by cultural and behavioral modification & entertainment programs.
The main objective of this noble event is to place a smile on the faces of our less privileged children, boosting their morals, improving their psychological health and adding joy and happiness to their souls, through a purposeful program that contributes to their capacity building, promote their social acceptance, enrich their feeling of belongingness to society, and articulate the care of the whole society of their participation.
The highlight of this year’s Charity tent “Leilet El Qadr Event” will be held at El Sawy Cultural Wheel on Wednesday September 16th, 2009.
