The Rafah land crossing in North Sinai on Sunday received 97 Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, both wounded and their companions, for treatment in Egyptian hospitals.

A medical source in North Sinai said that 34 injured and sick people from Gaza Strip hospitals were received for treatment in hospitals in North Sinai Governorate and other Egyptian governorates, in addition to 63 of their companions.

The source added that the Palestinians in need were distributed as follows: 18 cases to the al-Arish General Hospital, 10 cases in Sheikh Zuweid Central Hospital, one case in Bir al-Abd Specialized Hospital, and five cases in Zagazig University Hospital in Sharqia Governorate.

According to the source, the reported injuries and illnesses varied between fractures, wounds, burns, amputated limbs, eye injuries, heart, liver, kidney, blood diseases, and cancerous tumors.
