Tourism industry leaders and dignitaries will witness the official opening of the Al Raha Beach Hotel - Abu Dhabi’s first boutique property - at an exclusive dedication ceremony on December 7, 2005.
Following a successful soft opening, the Al Raha Beach Hotel has quickly gained status in the tourism community as a member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts, and the management at the 110-room hotel predict a steady increase for business this winter.
General Manager, Kamel Zayati, said: “The Al Raha Beach Hotel has found its niche market and a host of satisfied return guests from across Arabia and Europe. We have the pleasure of being a luxury city property with the advantages of a full service resort. Our guests are guaranteed that all their needs are met and even exceeded and we cater to those seeking extra privacy with our suites and our fully furnished villas.”
At the hotel, guests have access to many facilities including a private sandy beach, indoor and outdoor pools with a dedicated children’s area and a kids’ club. Complete spa services are available on site, while two 18-hole golf courses are a short buggy ride away.
Five culinary venues offer an appealing variety of cuisine including European fare, casual al fresco dining and 24-hour in-room dining.
“While Al Raha Beach Hotel has drawn considerable interest from European guests, our meeting space and ballroom have captivated the local market. We’ve hosted many events from elegant weddings to high-powered conferences, and our guests are constantly impressed by the outstanding level of service which accompanies the five-star surroundings,” said Zayati.
For a secluded retreat or quiet business getaway, Al Raha Beach Hotel delivers on both amenities and service.
Zayati considers the hotel a hidden gem in many ways and is confident of the resort's foothold in the competitive regional and international markets. "Our properties and service takes exclusivity one step further. Our guests experience it every time they return and word is getting out.”
Danat Hotels & Resorts, a division of the Abu Dhabi-based National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels (NCT&H) manages two five-star resorts, the Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna and the Al Raha Beach Hotel, as well as a cluster of four-star properties in the emirate. The hotels are either owned and/or managed by the group, or where the group is the owner-representative.
The National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels (NCT&H) was formed in 1996 in response to the need to develop both tourism and commerce in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), especially Abu Dhabi.
The Corporation was formed as a semi-government organisation. NCT&H’s primary objective is to promote Abu Dhabi as an international destination, manage hotels and provide transportation and industrial catering services.
