Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development (ADCED) and the Western Region Development Council (WRDC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to further enhance their partnership and collaboration.
The MOU is intended to enhance the exchange of data, strategies, views, information and policies between the two organizations. The purpose is also to conduct joint studies, research projects and to develop joint activities. The Memorandum was signed at the ADCED’s office by Mohamed Hamad Bin Azzan Al Mazrouei - Director General of the Western Region Development Council and Fahad Saeed Al Raqbani - Deputy Director General of the Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development.
Mohamed Hamad Bin Azzan Al Mazrouei stressed on the strategic importance of this MOU signature, he said: “It is our pleasure, in the Western Region Development Council, to sign today this Memorandum of Understanding with one of our most important strategic partners, the Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development. The MOU is in fulfillment of our joint desire to enhance mutual cooperation and coordination between the two parties. We consider the Memorandum to be of a great importance, as it will contribute to enhancing and increasing the size of data, researches and information exchanged, in addition to discussing strategies, policies, plans and regulations developed by the two parties. It is a part of our endeavor to realize the goals set out in the strategic plan of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and to consolidate its position as an economic destination on the world map”
Fahad Saeed Al Raqbani confirmed that the MOU is an important step in enhancing cooperation between WRDC and ADCED: “We are very pleased to sign the MOU with the Western Region Development Council. We are indeed sharing the same vision and objective. The Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 is at the very heart of our every day dedication. Both our two young organizations are committed to ensure the continued success of the Emirate’s sustainable and balanced economic development and diversification. We are looking forward to further develop our fruitful exchanges and strategic collaboration"
The signing ceremony was also attended by senior staff from both organizations. Representing WRDC were: Mr. Fahed Salem Al Kayoumi - Director, Strategy and Finance and Mr. Mohamed Ebrahim Al Hosani - Manager, Infrastructure & Services Development. Representatives of ADCED were: Mr. Jaber Mohamed Al Khamairi - Director of Support Services, Mr. Maktoom Al Mazrouei - Head of Human Resources and Ms. Dima Al Bawardi, Corporate Affairs Division and Dr. Hoe Ee Khor, Head of Economic Development & Chief Economist.
