Acid attack leaves several injured in Bochum, Germany

ALBAWABA - An acid attack on a cafe by an unidentified man injured several in the west German city of Bochum.

A press release by the local police revealed that "A man entered the cafe at around 3.25 p.m. and poured an acidic liquid over a guest sitting at a table in the outdoor area leaving the victim seriously injured,".

Four police officers and two firefighters who came into contact with the liquid the attacker used sustained severe injuries. 

The perpetrator had initially fled the scene but was arrested shortly after. The police launched an investigation into the attack to specify the motive.
