ADU Sends 10 Students on an Academic training program in Singapore

A group of 10 students from Abu Dhabi University left the country yesterday heading to Singapore on an academic training program sponsored by Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This trip is the first initiative of Abu Dhabi University Entrepreneurship Centre which was established by the university last month aimed at supporting innovation and growth for new businesses in the UAE.
Abu Dhabi University Chairman of the Executive Board, Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri stated that the program is a great opportunity for ADU students to see in action the type of initiatives ADU would like to develop. These students will be the first ambassadors from the UAE and will learn a lot from the visit, will establish key relationships with others, and come back with the ideas and enthusiasm that contribute to the start of similar activities in the UAE.
The Chairman added that the participating students will be active in developing initiatives across ADU and therefore will have demonstrated potential and commitment to contribute towards student activities.
The program will cover several topics including people, politics, and culture, Economic Development, Human Resources Development Strategy, Public sector management and public policy, Enterprise Development, and Entrepreneurship Development in Singapore. The students will be lectured by government representatives, business executives and professionals from local businesses. The trip will also include site visits to selected government departments, statutory boards, and business corporations in Singapore.
