Habtoor Hospitality’s latest and most ambitious hotel project to date is set to open its doors for business on Saturday, 10th September. Spread over an area of nearly 30,000 square meters, the Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa is the latest five star addition to Dubai’s famous and all-embracing Jumeirah Beach.
Commenting on the project, Khalaf Ahmed Al-Habtoor, Chairman of Al Habtoor Group said: “The Habtoor brand has been synonymous with quality and excellence in service for the last 25 years. Naturally, this latest addition to the Habtoor Hospitality portfolio will further enhance that reputation.”
“From its iconic towers to the immaculate landscaped gardens and private beach, the resort was custom-built to support the latest in design and technology, whilst embracing a touch of Arabia for the ultimate business or leisure experience.”
The development comprises 442 deluxe rooms and suites with views over the Arabian Gulf, Dubai Marina or the tropical gardens, 13 restaurants and bars, banqueting for over 1,000 guests, an array of water sports and a state of the art spa offering a full range of treatments from aromatherapy to dry flotation. In addition, the magnificent landscaped gardens are an ideal setting for outdoor banquets in the cooler months where there is ample room to host up to 5,000 guests.
Guest rooms and suites come in a variety of types to suit every executive’s budget. Club rooms, specifically designed for business travelers, are spacious, with exceptional furnishings and décor with tasteful Arabesque touches, which provides a subtle Middle Eastern ambience. There is a full suite of business amenities providing seamless communications and an ‘office away from the office’. All rooms have lounge areas and well appointed bathrooms and besides the normal in-room facilities come equipped with 28” flat screened TV, DVD players and wireless internet access as standard.
“The unique aspect is our end to end wireless network,” commented Arthur De Snoo, General Manager, Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa. “Whether guests are relaxing by the pool or working from their rooms, they will be able to access one of over 230 wireless access points, giving both business and leisure guests’ high speed internet links with total mobility right throughout the property,” he added.
A comprehensive 24 hour business centre comes fully equipped with up-to-the-minute work stations loaded with the latest business software, Internet access and full secretarial support. Other executive services include ‘Marhaba’ airport meet and greet with limousine transfer, VIP check in and all of the usual Club Lounge facilities. Another Club feature which highlights the resort’s attention to detail is the reserved areas at the pool and on the beach, essential for the busy executive ‘between meetings’.
Conference and banqueting facilities have not been overlooked either, the resort can cater for over 1,000 guests in the luxurious Al Andalous Ballroom, not forgetting that the picturesque gardens can accommodate up to 5,000 al fresco. A dedicated Boardroom and two additional meeting rooms complete the line-up with meeting space for 80 delegates each.
‘With such a variety of features, business facilities and services the resort is tailor-made for individual business visitors as well as groups and naturally lends itself as an ideal incentive destination,” added De Snoo.
The resort’s signature restaurant is an international fine dining experience called the 25th and is appropriately situated on the 25th floor in one of the resort’s towers. The restaurant’s terrace affords panoramic views across the Dubai Marina and the Arabian Gulf.
Other outlets of note include Mun Chi – far eastern fusion, chilled and chic, Al Marsa – Arabic cuisine, with an aquatic theme, La Pampa – South American cuisine and The Underground – a British-style Pub, themed on London’s famous underground.
“All of our restaurants and bars have terraces and also private rooms for couples or small groups wanting an intimate atmosphere. Each has been carefully selected to complement one another and to give our guests an enjoyable and quality dining experience with the widest possible choice, combined with impeccable service,” said Arthur De Snoo, General Manager, Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa.
On the sports and recreation front, the resort is conveniently located minutes from the Montgomery and Emirates Golf courses and within easy reach of some of the most spectacular shopping centres in the region.
The Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa also has a myriad of activities to keep even the most energetic occupied. There are three swimming pools, a poolside jaccuzzi, two floodlit tennis courts, two squash courts, an extensive gym and fitness studio, beach volleyball court, and a water sports centre. An interesting feature of the resort is the Infinity pool and deck for adults only, which is located on the mezzanine level, but not to be left out, the children have their own pool too with a water slide, as well as a playground and the Junior Jungle Club.
For those searching for something more sedate, the Elixir Spa and Health Club, is equipped with six designer treatment rooms, offering more than a dozen different treatments, a dry float room, manicure and pedicure stations, a sunless tanning booth, tropical rain and cold fog showers and relaxation areas.
