As an integral aspect of its recruitment strategy to attract Emirati talent for diverse positions, the luxurious Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons group shared information on various career prospects that are on offer for U.A.E nationals at Careers U.A.E 2009, which was held between 29 and 31 March, 2009 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Company Overview
Ahmed Qasim Seddiqi, a man of vision, pioneered the watch business in the U.A.E. in 1950 from a humble beginning of a single shop at Souq Murshid. In 1961, the late Ibrahim Seddiqi, the eldest son of Ahmed Qasim Seddiqi, concluded the first agency agreements with leading Swiss watch companies and became the exclusive agent of Rolex, West End and Omega, thus making the company the premier establishment in Dubai for luxury watches. Over time, the company was awarded exclusive franchises for almost all the leading Swiss brands making - a reputation that the company still enjoys today.
In 1971, Ahmed Qasim Seddiqi’s sons, Abdulmagied Seddiqi and Abdul-Hamied Seddiqi extended the family enterprise to include exclusive and luxury jewelry and at the turn of the millennium, the headquarters of the company was moved to Capricorn Tower, Sheikh Zayed Road.
Located at the 17th floor of the 45 level building, also owned by the company, the new headquarters of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons became a new landmark for this dynamic company.
Today, also located in Capricorn Tower, at the 16th floor, is a fully equipped Swiss Watch Service Center, (SWS), considered to be the Middle East’s largest service center and staffed with Swiss-trained technicians. In fact, visitors from the Swiss watch industry consider SWS as a “Mini-Swiss Workshop”.
Over the years, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons has also diversified into Real Estate and Investment. In the last quarter of 2007, Seddiqi’s Real Estate and Investment office shifted to the 13th floor of Capricorn Tower, under the rubric of Seddiqi Holding.
Today, the companies under Seddiqi Holding showcase the leadership of the grandsons and grand daughters of Ahmed Qasim Seddiqi.
