With environmental awareness being the need of the hour, Al Bustan Centre and Residence, the deluxe Hotel Apartments which offer world class services and facilities in the heart of Dubai, has taken up the cause in a big way to build up consciousness, right from the grassroots level of its Al Bustan Centre & Residence family.
The property’s RAP (Responsible Awareness Program) Committee, which is responsible for initiating awareness and contributing to the protection of its environment, recently organised a competition encouraging all the hotel staff to offer their ideas and suggestions to save water and electricity in its Hotel and ways of protecting the environment within its Hotel Operations.
Moussa El Hayek, COO of Al Bustan Centre & Residence, said: “Environmental awareness is truly the global need of the hour. If we are to pass on the existing natural resources to coming generations, each of us has to act urgently now by taking active steps towards that direction and I’m happy to say that the recently held competition by RAP elicited a very enthusiastic response among all our staff. We believe a truly successful company is one which actively includes environmental consciousness in all its operations, and we are initiating steps to be a totally environment conscious organisation.”
The competition generated much excitement all round with very interesting and innovative ideas being offered. The three best ideas given by the Al Bustan Centre & Residence staff members were rewarded with a Grand Prize, Gift Packs and Award Winning Certificate by the Management.
Udayakumar Sivageethan of the Housekeeping Department won the grand prize of the said competition and Kezhakeveettil Gopinath and Harsha Sri Sampath of Housekeeping and F&B Production Department grabbed the 1st and 2nd place respectively.
Al Bustan Centre and Residence has regularly organised several such ‘Go- Green’ activities in the past like the Clean up Drive and tree planting, besides taking active participation in the Dubai Government’s recently held initiative the “Clean Up the World” Campaign.
