Al Qasba, the premium tourist, cultural and entertainment destination in the Emirate of Sharjah and the UAE, has announced that the Ramadan lectures, part of ‘Ramadaniat Al Qasba 2009’, will conclude with two English lectures. Officials have revealed that the two lectures will take place in the Eiman Oasis Tent in Al Qasba and will be presented by Ihab Nader on September 3rd and Dr. Ahmed Sulaiman on September 4th. The lectures will cover the importance and significance of Ramadan and are open to residents, visitors and expats.
“The holy month of Ramadan is one of the most significant times of the year for Muslims,” said Dina Al Nakhi, Events manager at Al Qasba Development Authority. “With thousands of expats living in the UAE, we aim to increase their awareness about Ramadan, its importance and what it means to Muslims. We hope that these lectures will be as successful as the Arabic ones we have held over the last few days and will answer any questions that visitors to Al Qasba may have.”
Al Qasba has organized a total of thirteen lectures during Ramadan that covered various Islamic subjects. Major highlights were the ‘Thamarat Al Eiman’ lecture, which literally means Fruit of Faith, and was presented by Professor/Doctor Saleh Bin Ghanem Al Sadlan on August 26th and the ‘Al Deen Al Moaamala’ lecture which means ‘Religion as a way of treating others’, and was presented by Professor/Doctor Sulaiman Bin Salim Allah Al Ruhaili on August 27th.
‘Ramadaniat Al Qasba 2009’ will also include charity activities that are organized hand in hand with the UAE Red Crescent, Sharjah Charity Organization and Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, and will help in raising money for the needy during Ramadan.
‘Ramadaniat Al Qasba 2009’ is inspired by the spirit of Ramadan and includes a wide range of activities, events, lectures and promotions at Al Qasba, as well as Iftar and Suhoor meals from 6.45 p.m. onwards.
