ALDAR Properties PJSC is participating at MIPIM 2007 it has been revealed. Abu Dhabi’s first and leading property developer is to debut at MIPIM, one of the most prestigious property exhibitions globally, which runs from 13th – 16th March. This is also the first time that the emirate of Abu Dhabi was represented at the world class exhibition, which is held annually at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, South of France.
ALDAR will be showcasing three major developments at the exhibition; The Central Market, Yas Island and Al Raha Beach developments were all promoted at the 18th edition of MIPIM.

Central Market is the re-development of Abu Dhabi’s commercial business district and will see the five hectare site receive major regeneration for an area that was originally the city’s Central Souq until March 2005. The new development will give Abu Dhabi a new skyline and become the city’s new heart and soul. The architects Foster + Partners have incorporated world-class architecture with local heritage. Central Market is being completed in stages with the foundations substantially completed. Final completion of the project is scheduled for 2010 in line to meet the demand for office space, premier residential apartments, international hotels and high end retail space within the city.
Yas Island will be a prestigious world-class leisure destination, with mixed-use tourist attractions including beaches, entertainment, shopping, hotels, residences, golfing and equestrian facilities. Two of the major attractions on the largest natural island in Abu Dhabi will be the world’s first ever Ferrari theme park and a Formula One motor-racing track.
Meanwhile, Al Raha Beach will offer a unique unparalleled lifestyle through its world class residential, commercial, cultural, entertainment and public facilities, which will house up to 120,000 residents in this 18 billion dirham development.
MIPIM is a truly global property event with over 25,000 property professionals expected to attend this year, constituting a 16 per cent increase in attendance from last year.
