The families of Wissam, 5, Ahmed, 4, and Mébarka, 6, believe their children were kidnapped and then murdered, according to the Algerian news source Liberte Algerie. The news source describes Algiers as suffering from a state of panic during the whole of Tuesday as the search was on for the children. They were eventually found Tuesday evening, suffocated to death.
The three went missing in the Bourouba district of Algiers and were discovered only one hundred meters from their homes. In response, the Algerian police have issued a warning to parents not to let their children out without supervision but to remain calm about the situation.
