Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika held Monday in Abu Dhabi talks with UAE President Sheikh Zayed al-Nahyan, reported the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA).
The Algerian president arrived in Abu Dhabi Monday on a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates, the agency said.
The two leaders discussed "the situation in the Arab world, the efforts to achieve solidarity, the Middle East peace process and the situation in Algeria," the agency said.
Sheikh Zayed said he hoped Bouteflika would "succeed in establishing security and stability in Algeria."
Bouteflika had been on an official visit to India since Wednesday.
President Bouteflika has been toiling to reintroduce his country to the world as a good environment for investment. But failure of his "national concord" program t stop to stop the nine-year bloodshed that has stood an obstacle for his ambitions.
