ALHOSN University Training & Continuing Education Centre signs ICT training agreement with 7i Institute (SE7ENi)

ALHOSN University, a leading Abu Dhabi-based university dedicated to high-quality, value-based education, has yesterday (Tuesday, December 15, 2009) signed an information and communications technology (ICT) training agreement between its Training and Continuing Education Centre (TCEC) and Educational Development company 7i Institute (SE7ENi). 

 

Under the terms of the agreement, the two parties will provide marketing; training, staffing and related needs; and customized solutions and consulting; software development; programs for institutions, companies and individuals from both public and private sectors in line with the evolution of modern global techniques. The deal was formalized at the ALHOSN University, with TCEC Director Dr. Hassan Al Samarrai and SE7ENi President Dr. Tahseen Al Doori acting as signatories.

 

“ICT has become an essential knowledge area across all types of government and private sector activities. Through this partnership, TCEC will be able to leverage 7i’s expertise in professional development to sharpen the ICT skills of our individual and corporate customers as well as our very own students. We shall be able to teach critical ICT skills that meet today’s market and governance requirements,” said Dr. Hassan.

 

“As a respected centre for continuing education, TCEC enables us to extend our reach to a talented Abu Dhabi audience. We look forward as well to exchanging best training practices with ALHOSN’s own professional development staff. The university’s philosophy of global growth with a local vision aligns perfectly with our own mission of developing world-class GCC professionals,” added Dr. Tahseen.

 

The ICT training program has been specifically designed to hone the skills of people intending to work in human resource or executive management, professionals, and newly-appointed working managers. It will be available to all individuals, institutions, government departments, organizations, and civil society organizations. Under the agreement, TCEC will provide schedules that suit trainee preferences, including on weekends,

 

Dubai-based SE7ENi provides advanced professional development and consulting solutions for the Gulf’s industry and the educational sectors. The company assists its students in developing and enhancing their ability to compete and excel in the real world. It also helps businesses and educational institutions improve their quality and performance and attain their strategic goals. SE7ENi’s technology certification-based courses include Wireless Networks, Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), Microsoft certification, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and Mobile Applications. ALHOSN University's Training and Continuing Education Centre TCEC serves adult learners and business professionals several evening, weekday, weekend, and online professional certification programs. Aside from a newly established first-aid certificate, the Centre also offers a variety of courses and customized training programs to meet the needs of clients. The topics covered include Soft Skills, Management, HR, Financial, Statistical, ICT & Computing certificate, Business Foundations certificate, English language certificate, and Environmental and Technical certificates.

 

Other programmes of the TCEC also include vocational training certificates in Executive Management and in Human Resources Management.

 

ALHOSN University, which encompasses 1.500 male and female students, was opened in 2005 to students of all nationalities. It presently offers 11 undergraduate and 7 graduate programs in three faculties, all accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The university’s City Campus includes a Men’s Campus, a Women’s Campus, a Library Building, a Lectures Building, an Engineering Labs Building, and a recently-constructed Studio Building.
