On Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010, the Amman Baccalaureate School (ABS) Alumni announced the launch of "Ideas Festival Middle East 2010" in a press conference that was held at Al Qasr Metropole Hotel in Shmesani. The event was attended by Mr. Tamer Attiah, President of the ABS Alumni and Mr. Ziad Fatayer, Assistant General Manager for Personal Banking Services at Capital Bank, who are the Platinum Sponsor of Ideas Festival Middle East 2010.

Media representatives attended the launch of the first Ideas Festival, which will be an annual project that will take place in Amman, Jordan. The Ideas Festival will display raw ideas by amateur participants from around the Middle East exhibited under six main themes: Arts and Design, Environment, Science and Technology, Social Development, Business and Random. Ideas will be presented in an interactive exhibition style multi-day event.

On this occasion, Mr. Attiah, said: "We are excited to launch such an activity encouraging the younger generation to be creative entrepreneurs who seize opportunities. Also we are proud to have the support of Capital bank for this unique project. We believe that having an interactive exhibition will be beneficial for all parties involved.

Exhibitors and visitors would get the chance to be engaged in presentations and various activities that revolve around innovation and idea development under the various themes that we have. Ideas from each theme will be awarded in various forms. Awards will encompass idea adoption, monetary awards, mentorship and scholarships. The event concludes in an awards ceremony to that will feature award winners and high profile speakers."
