Arab world to wake up tomorrow morning on Sabah Al Arabiya

A 2 hours comprehensive morning show featuring a wide range of political, social and cultural news as well as sports, weather and business updates with early trading in Arab stocks will greet viewers of Al Arabiya news channel everyday as of tomorrow Saturday July 9.

The programme titled “Sabah Al Arabiya” will update viewers of the latest news through a live update from reporters in the field and guests in its Dubai-based studios.  Aired five times a week from Saturday to Wednesday,  the programme meaning ‘Morning of Al Arabiya’ will include a daily press review segment, weather update and, occasionally, an IT and a book review segment.

Also, the programme will feature a section titled ‘between East and West’ where an in-depth look will focus on the meaning and importance of similar practices between the Eastern and Western countries of the Arab world and the differences that exist in culture, tradition and habits between Morocco and Saudi Arabia for example, highlighting how things are done differently in the daily life of farmers from Syria to Sudan and how they are viewed by the population in a given Arab country.

During the launch phase, the programme will be presented by two of its main reporters, Mada Suyyagh and Mohammed Abu Ubeid.  Khaled Qassim, Merhan Dussouqi, Ghinwa Yatim and Mohammed Hannachi will operate as  roving reporters for Sabah Al Arabiya and will all be closely involved in the stories they cover.

Some will apply for a marriage license in one of the Marriage offices in Saudi Arabia to introduce that method now gaining ground in the Kingdom  to the audience, others will live  in an overcrowded house in India, while the reporter in Morrocco will have his fortune told, another reporter in Dubai will take a blood test to determine if her blood type and personality traits are connected. 

The program will also include a segment about dispelling myths such as “eating late at night makes you fat”, “reading in dim light hurts your eyes”, and a host of other myths many have held since childhood.

Al Arabiya continues to provide programming that is consistent with its objective of delivering insightful news that is smart and practical. 

“Sabah Al Arabiya“, The morning show will be broadcast 0900-1100 Dubai time (0800-1000 KSA and 0500-0700 GMT) and will offer all the news viewers need to start their day right.
